St. Andre

     Saint Andre is and important person. He was born August 9, 1845 and died January 1936.Andre was 91 years old when he died. Before he was a saint his name was Brother Andre Bessette. Andre was in Quebec at St. Joseph's Oratory. He was suppose to direct people to an isle. He hears peoples problems and prays for them. Once he prays peoples problems are solved. More people came to him to be healed. He tells them to pray with him to St. Joseph. People who were poor and sick came to Andre.In Quebec he is known as the Miracle Man. Since 2010 Andre is known as Saint Andre.

Wednesday Wars

                                                       

Holling's idol is Mickey Mantle. He was the best player from the New York Yankees. Holling was very disappointed when Mickey Mantle didn't sign his baseball. He didn't sign it because Holling was wearing a fairy outfit and he thought he was gay. This didn't happen to me when I got my autograph. I went to the Toronto Marlies game and got an autograph from the goalie. He was signing autographs for everyone. I got their on time to get his autograph. Even though he isn't my idol he signed my autograph. That was probably my first autograph.

Wednesday Wars

                                                        Wednesday Wars

The Wednesday Wars is a good book writen by the author Gary D. Schmidt. It is about a kid from Camillo Jr. High in Gr. 7. His name is Holling Hoodhood. He has to spend the rest of wednesday with his teacher because he is different then the others.It's good because instead of just telling us what happened he shows us. You think about what could go wrong and maybe something different could happen. At some parts its happy then sad. Something good happens then it goes wrong because of a bad thing that happened. This is such an interesting book that you actually want to read more of the book.

Universal Soldier

                      Universal soldier

The poet made this poem about soldiers in war. I think the 1st stanza is about the differences of each soldier like height, weapon, age, and religion. After it talks about why the soldier doesn't want to kill but has to for his friend. I think the 2nd stanza is saying that the soldier fights in wars just to stop wars by winning them. I think the 3rd stanza is talking about him fighting for peace and democracy in war but he should know it just makes more war. I think the 4th stanza is saying that he was the one who started all these wars and continued them. He fights in the war for his family but it just makes the wars worst.

Halloween Poem

                 Halloween Poem

When I go to Halloween,

You'll see Frankenstein in his house.

The neighbors are very mean,

They scared us with a mouse.

Pumpkins on every front door,

Zombies stalking you every where you go,

You hear creaks from your floor.

And fill the wind chill blow

The witches are flying in the air

The vampires drinking all the blood

The boogieman met up with a bear

And the mummy tripped and fell in the mud.

Kids are getting a lot of treats

Some of them are getting braces

The rich kids get all the sweets

They're smudging all their faces.

Some people call it Hallow's Eve

The others think it's not a holiday

After midnight children leave

With a bag full of candy YAY!

The Nest

  

When Jimmy's mom didn't want Jimmy to be friends with Paul, it was just like when I watched this t.v. show where there were these 2 kids who were new to the school. The first people they met were the unpopular kids. They invited them to their hotel. Their mom was fine with making new friends. Later they became friends. Then at school they met the cool kid and his gang. They told them where they live because it was the most best place in the city. The cool kid then went to his place and had a lot of friends come. The manager was angry because he had a lot of kids in his hotel playong around. He got someone to stop the kids and kick them out of the hotel. The 2 kids got everyone to go to the hotel across the street. They realized they were bad kids and the mother didn't like the man didn't want them to be friends with bad kids.

The BEST Halloween

I went out on Halloween with my brother and cousin, Matteo. I was either a wizard, spider-man, batman, or a S.P.D Power Ranger. When we went to trick or treat we were out for a long time. The neighborhood was huge so it took a while to go to every house. We past by the most scariest house on the block. They had a guy with an old hockey mask and a real chainsaw so he could scare everybody. The person handing out treats had the FREAKIEST clown costume and he said "Happy halloween" in a deep evil voice. After about 11:00 pm we went home with 3 garbage bags full of candy each. We counted up all the candy, in front of our parents, kept the ones we wanted and threw out the ones we didn't like. We got candy like tootsie rolls, cheetos, crunch, aero, bueno, smarties, coffee crisp, kitkat, gum, gumballs, and more. The candy lasted till almost the end of the school year.

 Soccer Tournaments

The soccer team was awesome in the tournaments. Our score sheet is 6 wins 0 losses and 0 ties. The team has over 10 goals. The teams we played against were St. Barnabas, St. Gabriel, St. Edmund Campion, and St. Albert. Those teams were good, but we beat them all.

The best players on our team were Tyler T, Nicholas Z, Nicola P, Paolo D and our goalie Spencer. They scored all the goals on our team and Spencer stopped all the shots. Our team is going to the Regionals at Wexford Hydro Field next week. Our coach is Mr. Leitman,  the greatest soccer coach, ever. Also my gr. 4 teacher. Adam M, Mark( my brother), and I play defense and Tyler T and Matthew play midfield. Our defense stopped all the balls so Spencer was bored. Our midfield players took the ball up to the penalty box and took plenty of shots. 

 In the Exhibition we got medals, and now( in the regionals) we were suppose to get crests or ribbons and a pennant. The Leger Lions Boys Intermediate Team were the best in the last 2 tournaments, now we're playing in the Regionals at Wexford Hydro Field next week.
