thanksgiving poem

My Thanksgiving Poem

Thanksgiving is a time to be loving,
Like giving a kiss, or just plain old hugging.
It's like showing a smile,
But it only lasts for a while.

Thanksgiving is a time for parties,
It's not a day of fun.
You give to others, food, like maybe Smarties,
Or a father giving love to his son.

Thanksgiving is a day to come together,
Like friends, neighbors, or your family.
Giving love to someone lasts with them forever.
It makes yourself live your life happily.

Thanksgiving is a day from god.
You show to him you can give,
Not like taking life on a fisher rod.
God gave us a life to enjoy and live.

Thanksgiving is a day to love others,
Like how God loves each of his children.
We give love to our fathers and mothers,
That taught us to obey and listen.

Thanksgiving Message

Thanksgiving is a special time. More than just an opportunity to bake and stuff a turkey, it ‘s a time when we gather with family and friends and celebrate the gratitude we ought to feel for our many blessings.  From the Native Peoples of yesteryear to today, peoples around the world, at various times offer thanks. The specific customs vary of course, but the commonalities remind us of what we all have to be thankful.  We decorate our homes. We prepare elaborate feasts. We invite loved ones. And finally we pray. We thank God for our homes, our food, and our loved ones and for Himself. It’s easy to forget how we have to thank God for. This Thanksgiving I’m thanking God for the gift of all of you. It has been a genuine pleasure getting to know you and being your teacher.
God bless you and your family at Thanksgiving and always!

May your stuffing be tasty

May your turkey plump,

May your potatoes and gravy

Have never a lump !
What are you thankful for ? Give at least 5
