Holling's Relationship With His Parents
I think the relationship Holling has with his parents isn't that good according to the first chapter. His parents don't seem to listen to him, except for his mom (a little bit) because she asked him how school was. In the book he asked his dad for help and his dad sort of told him to be quiet because he was watching the news. I think Holling felt sad because his dad thinks the news is more important than him. Holling's dad tops it off by being rude to him and telling him he's ruining the family business. Holling's mom was nice a little bit, but she is hiding a secret to the family, that she smokes and he wasn't supposed to know and if he did he wasn't supposed to say anything to his dad, so she's even hiding it more from her husband and last time I checked marriage wasn't supposed to have any secrets. So I think he doesn't have anything special with his parents. To me it seems like he does not really like them that much at the begining of the book, but something could change later on in the book.

Jimmy and I
I can relate to Jimmy. I can relate to Jimmy because his mom didn't let him go with his friends and that's the way my mom is sometimes. It's that my mom doesn't want me to hang out with them, she just doesn't want me to get hurt or stolen. She can be very protective sometimes. Me and Jimmy relate well because when I don't get to go with my friends I get mad too. Me and Jimmy relate pretty good, well, except I don't run off when my parents say no, I listen to them. But, all in all we relate pretty well to each other. And that is all I can say about this.

The BEST Halloween EVER!
A few years ago I went trick or treating with my friends, and it was the best Halloween EVER! We were trick or treating and we didn't have a lot of candy so I was happy when we walked up to this one house. We got up to the house and there was just a big pot full of candy and I was in the back of the line. My friends got the candy and I was getting mine but no one was there so I just took all of the candy and put it in my bag and left. When they saw they were shocked and I had the most candy, so at the end of the day I had 1 and a half bags and they only had 1. And that was the best Halloween EVER!

I think of Van Gogh as my hero. He was an awesome dude because he didn't care if no one liked his painting, he still painted. He just kept going on, and on until he couldn't go anymore. He was very interesting because he is one of those guys who you would go on google and keep searching until you find his whole life story. Van Gogh knew he was crazy so he went to a mental hospital and checked himself in. In the time he was in there he painted over 100 paintings!! He sent a message to everyone. His message was, do what you love, no matter who tells you otherwise. Back in the day he only sold one painting for like a penny, but now his paintings are like $100,000,000!! And this is how I will end my blog with Vincent's message. Always follow your dreams.
