The Nest
I understand how frustrated Jimmy was with his mother. When she would not allow him to go on a hike with his friends. Last summer I wanted to go swimming at my cousin's condo but my mother said no. My mother was unable to take me, and my older cousin and sister were also not available to supervise us. My mother refused to allow me to go because she said that there were no life guards at the pool. I argued that I could swim and did not need any life guard to baby sit me. We got into a huge fight and I felt that she was being over protective and I can take care of myself.
Great blog! I remember one time when I wanted to go to the Y.M.C.A. And my mother kept putting it off because she had work on Saturdays. It took about a month and a half before I got to go to the Y.M.C.A. and the pool was really crowded. But at least I got to go. Only thing is please put your name on the blog.
ReplyDeleteYou must of been really angry when your mother said you can't go swimming because there was no life guard at the pool. My mother also doesn't let me go some places when I want to. My mom says 'no' a lot of times. I do agree that mothers can be over protective sometimes. Anyways, this was a great blog.

Aww. You must've felt so disappointed especially since swimming is SO FUN. Sometimes my mom will say "Stay more in the shallow end!" when I swim. This gets annoying because I constantly have to remind her that I CAN swim, and have taken swimming lessons. Great blog, but as Sean already mentioned, please put your name on the blog (:
