  1. The book I am reading is called “Bullyville”. It is about a boy called Bart Rangely who is an eighth grade boy. His father divorced his mother and went away with a young, supposedly pretty girl named Caroline. His mother, father, and his new step-mother worked in the same building. One of the twin towers. In the first week of grade 8, Bart caught a virus, and since no one could stay with him all day, his mother stayed home with him. That same afternoon, they received a call from his grandmother. She told the Rangely’s that Bart’s dad was in one of the twin towers when it got hit. It seemed unreal to him; even though Bart ignored his father before he died, it seemed fairly different when he was gone. His friends always seemed different after that and no one acted the same around him. Bart and his mother never talked about his dad, even before he died. The only thing that really put it over the edge was that Caroline never went to work that day. It went without saying that Bart and his mother wished for nothing else that it was Caroline who went to work that day instead of his dad.
I remember when I lost my uncle. It felt like someone played a cruel prank on me and stolen all the important things in my life. My uncle was a great person (Kind of unlike Bart’s dad). My uncle was a nice person and always did the right thing. When he died we were grieving for a year horribly. We never felt like doing anything. We were tired, restless, and sad. We cried everyday thinking of him, my aunt, and my cousins. We cried tons at the funeral, and we are still exceedingly sad. It was about 2 or 3 years ago. In the book Bart said “Every so often, distant relatives would send us a newspaper clipping from their hometown paper in which we were described as the family whose kid had had the lucky case of the flu. But I didn’t feel lucky, not even a tiny bit lucky. My father was dead.” I kind of feel the same way. It’s not really lucky that your father is dead. When my uncle died, nothing good came from it. It wasn’t lucky at all. I feel I really connected with the book.

Widge has to sneak in to Hamlet because he skipped a few lines the first time. He has to sneak in through the back door to get in. When he’s in he is behind the curtain listening to every word and copying it down on his note book. Widge accidentally distracts one of the cannon people so they accidentally mis-shoot and set the place on fire. So now the theatre is on fire and everyone is running out. When Widge is outside he checks his back pocket to see if the notepad is there, and it’s not. Widge is now freaking out and and is anxious because it was his fault the place was set on fire. He goes back because he doesn’t want to get in trouble by Falconer. When he goes back to try and find the note pad someone takes him to his groups house to be a part of their group.

    Pages: 100-122
I have been reading the book Love Ruby Lavender; so far it has been a pleasure to read. Ruby Lavender is a young talented girl, with the writing skills of true writer, she isn’t like most girls, who’s only cares are for their bouncy luscious hair and what diet to go on, but ruby is all for helping others and making the world a better place. Ruby really couldn’t care less for her hair and clothes, but there is one person that ruby knows that is all this and has the skill of being sneaky and vicious…Melba Jane! It is June (in the book’s time) and it is the of school concerts and plays Ruby goes to try out every year for this play and never gets it, there’s always one person that’s better than her Melba. She’s not necessarily better but she is more likable then ruby and the fact that she’s prettier, louder, and her mother is the director. Ruby does not have any plans to go to this audition, but since Melba’s mother is Ruby’s aunt Ruby has to go to support Melba. Meanwhile ruby lives on a farm with her mother after Miss Eula (grandmother) left for Hawaii to visit her grandson, while 3 chickens in which one has laid 3 eggs. Ruby spends every day with them but now school has started, so she can’t but this doesn’t stop Ruby. Ruby decides to bring her chicken to the audition so she doesn’t miss the moment when her chicks hatch. Ruby now knowing this would be a huge mistake. Ruby brings her chicken to the audition in a wagon, Ruby walks to the front of the stage and realizes she left the chicken at the top of the stairs, so she runs back, but when she comes back her chicken is gone. She had no idea where to look for her, but then a voice just seemed to scream out to her. The chicken made its way to Melba. She screamed all over the place right to one corner of the room where the paint was kept, blue paint fell right on and all over Melba, she was in utter and complete shock. Eventually the worst of the paint faded. No one believed Ruby that it was an accident especially after what Melba was telling everyone, but as always Ruby ignored her. That night Ruby decided to sleep with her chickens that night, just in case the chicks hatched, when Dove a (new friend) came to accompany her, Ruby was happy, Dove told her all that Melba said when all of a sudden they were under attack, someone was throwing rocks at the chickens, when they checked on them, the eggs were gone. Summary

The novel I am reading is “Where I’d Like To Be”; it’s about a twelve year old foster child named Maddie. One day a new girl, Murphy shows up at her home. They eventually form a friendship. The two of them, along with some other friends build a fort. All of them go there every day and work on Maddie’s scrapbooks.

One day Murphy secretly brings Maddie’s scrapbook to school. During lunch break, in the cafeteria she shows it to her friend Olivia Woods. For just a moment she was taken in by it until the other people at the table started to make fun of it. So then she also started making fun of it. Maddie was right there sitting at another table listening to them all laugh at her work. She was so devastated when she saw them tearing the book apart. After that Maddie stopped talking to Murphy. While Maddie was walking towards there fort Murphy came up beside her. She told her that they should bury the scrapbook. So they dug a hole and put it in it.

    Secret Identity Crisis
The book that I’m reading is called the Secret Identity Crisis from the series The Amazing Adventures of Nate Banks. The main character, Nate Banks, is in a real pickle right now. He has been called many names because he had a thought that Ms. Matthews might be the town’s new superhero, Ultra Violet. It all started ever since he and his friends were taking a short cut across the school field during Coach Howard’s football practices. Nate and his two friends, Teddy and Fiona, were chatting away about Kanigher Falls’ (the town they live in) first ever superhero, Ultra Violet. Next thing you know, Nate noticed a football coming right toward him. A bunch of football players were about to tackle him down, until suddenly he felt someone pull him out of the way just in time for him to not be tumbled into the ground. That someone was Ms. Matthews! Ms. Matthews was nowhere in sight then out of random, she saved Nate Banks. There was no way she could have done it that fast unless she was Ultra Violet. So ever since that event occurred, his conscious urged him to think that Ms. Matthews was Ultra Violet. Nate told his friends about his prediction and they thought he was crazy. His friends kept thinking that he probably hit his head really hard when Ms. Matthews saved him. Nate felt very abandoned and let down since his two best friends never believed him.
A similar situation happened to me before a few years back when I was in grade 3. Back then in grade 3, I used to play soccer every single recess. I loved the sport. So one day while I was playing soccer during recess, I spotted a few of my friends bouncing an orange ball and shooting it into a basket. I asked them what they were doing and they told me that they were playing a sport called basketball. Back then, I honestly never heard of the sport before in my life. Then I decided to stop playing soccer that recess and try the new sport, basketball. That first time I tried to play basketball I did a horrible job but had a really great time playing the sport. My friends were scoring almost 5 times more then I was but I was still having so much fun. So when I went home I decided to work on my skills in basketball. After a few hours of practicing, I started to become really good at it. My shots were more accurate and my dribble was fast and below my waist. The next day when I went to school, I told my friends how much better I got in basketball. As soon as I told them this, they just started to laugh and say that no way I could have gotten so much better because of the way they saw me play yesterday. Then we decided to play a game between three of my friends and me. I ended up winning with two times more points than my friend who came in second place. They ended up realizing that I actually got pretty good and gave me props. But unlike Nate, my friends ended up believing me because I gave them proof that I was good. Hopefully Nate gets some sort of proof later on in the story that would back up the theory he has on Ms. Matthews.
