Text to Text Connection to The Nest
In the story, The Nest, Jimmy is a 14 year old boy who can see that his best friend Paul is not what people say he is. He sees that Paul is a good person and needs a friend to be with. I can relate to this text to text.
At my old school, I met a girl who turned out to become my best friend. Everybody was mean to her because she was from Europe and had a thick accent. People mocked how she speaks and I felt bad for her. So then, I started becoming her friend and told everybody else to stop picking on her. This relates to each other because Jimmy and I could see more to what people are described. We be there for people who needs someone to be with in times of need.

Awesome Blog Jodie! I think it was good of you to stand up for that girl and it was good relating to the story. I believe it is important that people should stand up to bullying and stop it. The only thing I saw was the last sentence where you said we be there. Other than that a good blog about the story.
ReplyDeleteaww. How Sweet (: Good for you Jodie! Nice Reflection on the story! She really needed a friend when nobody was there to make her comfortable. You did a very good thing, and you should be proud of yourself

ReplyDeleteThat was so nice of you Jodie! Very courageous of you to stand up like that and if I was at your old school, I would think that you are an awesome person to have as a friend. (not that I don't think that now =D). Great blog!!!
ReplyDeleteGood blog Jodie! I agree with Marc because you did do the right thing. It was nice of you to tell everyone to stop picking on the girl. You stood up for the girl and she ended up being your best friend. Great blog.
